This piece explores the quiet tension between movement and stillness. The sailboat becomes both a literal and symbolic vessel, moving through luminous waters beneath a sky charged with emotion and energy. Through layered color and sweeping contrast, I wanted to capture the feeling of navigating toward hope—even when surrounded by uncertainty. The reflections and fractured hues mirror the complexity of personal journeys and the resilience found in continuing forward.
The Process: After going bold with the palette I focused on creating a balance in the composition and planned a color map that would gather the viewer’s eye and transport him into my journey.
 What brings it here: With the flowing juxtaposition of how and where the color experience was going to take me, I let my imagination take charge. Blocking in the colors as my impulses answered, it took form as I imagined it within my soul. I wanted to convey that through the many tribulations in life one needs to rest assured that belief in the Creator will guide them to the final destination.
