This painting celebrages memory, resilience, and emotional journey of life itself. The curved walkway us a metaphor for life’s journey leading into the unknown through light and shadow. The water represents our reflections of our experienes, relationships and memories and how they mold whom we become.
The Process: I developed my palette considering the psychological interpretations of color and the use of light and shadow to create the mood.  I used palette knife to create texture alongside using the brush to blend and soften the details.
 
What brought this here: In reflecting on life’s experiences and journey I felt this piece describes many of life’s components.  In a chaotic world I used the paint in a way to create hope within it. I believe it depicts the passage of time and that life’s path is illuminating even when we can’t see the outcome. My vision is that although life can be deeply reflective and even sorrowful that overall invite the viewer to enter this world and experience its joy.
