"Weeping may last for the night, but joy comes in the morning."
This Bible verse inspired this work, an abstract referencing the sun as it breaks the darkness of a long night, and lights the sky with beautiful color. Every sunrise is, to me, a symbol of hope.
 
As a quick note on process: I used an "alternative process" in painting this piece. I wadded up the plastic that the canvas came wrapped in, dipped it it paint, and lightly dabbed the paint on the canvas.
