A summer weekend visit to Charleston, South Carolina led me to a day exploring the three plantations on
the outskirts of town, Drayton Hall being one of them. I loved seeing how unique each plantation was.
Drayton Hall was a grand and beautiful home resting in the middle of a field. It has well preserved
architectural features and provides a great example of colonial life in the south during the late 1700’s to early 1800's
