A summer visit to Charleston, South Carolina led me to outings exploring architecture.
The Aiken-Rhett House is an example of antebellum urban architecture with modifications from the
Federal, Greek Revival and Victorian styles and influences. The beautiful warm yellows, deep browns and
minty greens were a wonderful combination. The clean classic design of the house on the corner
bordered by beautiful tall palm trees and a blue sky drew my attention and appreciation.
