WATERCOLOR FLORALS is a full-day, immersive workshop designed to bring the flower to life on 2D paper. We will explore the colors, textures, and techniques of painting flowers. We will look at our flowers through a Values lens first, finding the highlights and shadows, and identifying just how MANY colors are hiding within the flower! We will explore floral textures and color, and then use both loose and controlled techniques for moving color across the paper to mimic what we observed.
This class is best suited to the artist who already has at least a basic foundation in watercolor. If new to the medium, we will also practice the techniques before taking them to our final painting...so feel free to dive in with us!
