ITALIAN STREET SCENE
A Study in Values, Glowing Warmth & 1-Point Perspective
July 19, 9am - 4pm
Italian Street Scene: A Study in Values, Glowing Warmth and 1-Point Perspective is a full-day immersive workshop that transports you to the sunlit streets of Italy while sharpening essential watercolor skills. Begin with a value study and learn to build strong compositions using one-point perspective—perfect for capturing charming alleys and architectural depth. Discover techniques for rendering stone and brick textures using dry brush, wet-on-wet blending, and strategic negative space. You’ll work with an analogous warm color palette to mix luminous, glowing hues and learn how to save the light—a crucial skill for creating atmosphere and sun-soaked vibrancy. This class balances structured drawing with expressive watercolor methods for a beautiful, glowing street scene. What is your goal for this class?
