Discover the unique joys of soft pastels. This powdery medium is considered both a drawing and a painting process and is extremely versatile!
Today we will use soft pastels to create the impressionistic ‘Lago Vista Field’.   I just love the luscious colors and opportunities to express our inner artist with this one and can't wait to show you how! We'll use an alcohol wash on a sanded paper which I'll show you how to make using clear gesso!

As is often the case in Zan's classes, emphasis will be on technique with encouragement to play with colors and forms in pursuit of the lesson at hand.

 Make sure to wear something you can get messy in.  I am of the belief that if you walk away spotless, you are likely not painting with the proper gusto!
 Although supplies are included, if you have favorite tools or brushes, please feel free to bring them
