Shapes in combination with objects evoke images. In this case I am told that there is a guitar in this piece....and of course I can understand how that may be true. But to stand in front of this painting is to open your mind to numerous possibilities existent on the canvas. I experimented here with many shades of yellow to create great depth at the core of the painting. A comfortable resting place for the pod in the center. The liberal use of black creates a negative space that provides ample opportunity to conjure up ideas as well as images. This painting can be experienced on any edge .
