Acrylic and aerosol on wood panel

48” x 92”

$8500

Brief Explanation

The painting is partly inspired by the story of Don Quixote (the figure on horseback in the man's hand). He spent his life battling imaginary dragons. In fact, he was merely tilting at windmills, taking on unwinnable fights. While he was delusional, he did what he believed was right. Each of us must strive to be strong and stand for what is right in this life, but we also must strive to maintain a grip on reality as best we can. That is no small task in a world where so many powerful forces vie for influence over our minds.
