Colorful Flamingo at the Zoo

Discover your own creative powers as you paint one of the world’s most beautiful birds in its own habitat! Your bird’s reflection may be an abstract design captured in ripples!

Native Fort Worth artist Marilyn Ivy holds a BFA from Texas Christian University and Master’s from Texas Woman’s University, both in painting. Marilyn has been painting and teaching art since college. She taught Painting and Drawing for her first career at LD Bell HS, Art Education and Drawing at TCU, and then led studio activities for all ages at the Kimbell Art Museum. An exhibiting member of the Society of Watercolor Artists, Marilyn creates beautiful landscapes herself. Take advantage of her expertise! Join Marilyn in the studio to paint watercolor landscapes with a water feature. This series is designed for beginning watercolor artists who want to learn techniques to paint water reflections of trees, bridges, and gardens of local beauty.  With each painting, you will learn techniques easily applied to future paintings. While each class will stand alone, taking all four will enhance your painting skills dramatically.

Each class is $45. All materials are provided, including Fabriano watercolor paper for the flamingo painting. Your finished 9” X 12” watercolors will be framable, and I am confident you will display them proudly!
