In this fun and expressive 2 day art class, we’ll dive into the imaginative world of Pablo Picasso and discover how abstract art can tell a story through color, shape, and line. You will be taking home 2 completed charges in this wonderful Picasso Style!

Using charger plates as our canvas, we will:
• Explore Pablo Picasso’s lifelong love for art—he started painting at just 8 years old!
• Learn how he revolutionized the art world with abstract and Cubist styles.
• Study how artists use color, shape, and line to create meaning and emotion in their work.
Then, you’ll get hands-on:
• Identify the three key elements used in abstract portraiture: shape, color, and line.
• Learn how abstract art expresses ideas and emotions rather than realistic forms.
• Experiment with how colors can communicate different moods.
• Create two expressive self-portraits using mirrors, focusing on emotion and abstraction through shape, color, and line.
